Mr. Gregory Urich is a Laboratory Manager and Project Manager with over 20 years of professional experience encompassing a wide breadth of laboratory, geotechnical engineering, special inspection, and environmental services. Mr. Urich’s primary responsibility is managing all aspects of Ingram Engineering Services Inc.’s Soils and Materials Testing Laboratory and conducting an expansive array of soils and materials testing procedures adhering to American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards. Mr. Urich performs and oversees the full scope of all laboratory tasks including testing, data entry, calculations, and reporting; trains and manages all laboratory staff; facilitates the proficiency sample testing program; and developed, implemented, and currently manages the Laboratory Quality Management System to ensure proper procedures and accurate testing results and to obtain and maintain accreditation. Mr. Urich’s additional responsibilities include management of various geotechnical engineering, special inspections, and environmental projects, completing field investigations, conducting field inspections, compiling reports, and developing recommendations.
Proficiencies include:
- Field and laboratory sampling/testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, grout, mortar, soil-cement, sprayed fire resistive material, asphalt, and rock
- Special inspections involving the placement of rebar, concrete, asphalt, sprayed fire resistive materials, and controlled fill
- Providing drilling and test pit oversight for geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations
- Geotechnical logging and classification of soil and rock
- Environmental screening, logging, sampling, and analytical data analysis of soil, groundwater, and air
- Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Clean Fill Certification Services
